A process description

A process description

I went through many evolutionary changes with my logo stuff at first I did not feel quite sure what to do with the logo so I started experimenting with different ideas including doing black and white roughs that I did. I did lots of logos that were similar to each other but I narrowed things down so that I was only working with a few ideas and worked with those.

I ended up with a logo that I am reasonably happy with the blue ball with white stripes that join at the bass and expand into different directions resembling branching out from one place to the rest of the world. The blue colours resemble the skies above. I used a pantone orange gradient theme in a lot of the design work which resembles the colours of the Australian desert which I thought would go well.

I feel that the end result of my ideas and processes that I went through while developing this work only made it half way. I think there is a lot more that could have been done to fully involve my design ideas and structure I think it is still partly in the experimental stage where the ideas and planning are still growing into a final product. It took me about three weeks of development as well as doing research to look for ideas To resolve my logo product.

In this exercise I did enjoy working with a structured process where you come up with the proposal, the logo, the logo presented on other items as well as on paper by it’s self but in the form of business cards, letter head and on transport items. This is something that will happen in the design world for real so I feel it is important to know what your logo will look like on different items. It is also good to keep a record or colour swatch of the different range of colours used.

When experimenting with type on a separate page none of those ideas were functionable for use in my logo but I was learning about some of the different ways to manipulate type.

The final flash presentation was a little bit of a disaster to make and didn’t end up being my most creative of work but I learnt from it so that is the main thing.

Airport written proposal

Berrima Airport Proposal

Berrima International airport is the new and innovative way to connect people from all around to different parts of the world. This airport is being designed to provide a service to those who are not near to Sydney or Melbourne; this will help link people to places far and beyond.

The logo that is being presented in three sizes has been displayed as a pantone blue, white and black Logo which resembles the connection of people from one place and sending them to all different parts of the world.

There is also a gradient orange theme, which is used on some of the business card ideas provided and on the design with the truck and bus. Which is aimed to resemble the origan of the Australian desert colours. The blue theme of the logo resembles the blue skies that are beyond.

The letterhead, business cards, truck and bus logo all share a common theme with the colours Pantone orange 021 c and pantone blue 534 as well as black and white.

There are several other experimental ideas and processes that I have been through and created to come up with results. Such as black and white rough logo and text ideas as well as experimental business cards and experiments with typography on them which assisted the process leading to end results.

The success that is intended in these designs is to provide a logo and colour scheme that will be effective Australia for advertising and future commercial campaigns in order to get the response to this airport that would be desired from the community.

Flash presentation 2

Today I for thought I will blog on with some more stuff about my flash presentation and what I did was take some screen shots on my computer of the presentation in flash it's self and saved them as jpegs from Photoshop so that I can stick them in blogger to see direct process of the work. So here they are below in order from pages 1 to 9.

In the images below there is a display of the work in flash containing the images themselves, buttons, the information in the key frames and the layers that I worked with etc
